Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup hot water(105-110ish degrees)
1/2 tsp maple syrup (I am sure any sugar will do)
1 1/2 tsp yeast
1-2 tsp salt
1 tbsp oil
4 cups total flour
1/2 cup - 1 cup whole wheat flour (i used white)
3 cups - 3 1/2 cups bread flour
Directions:
In hot water add maple syrup then yeast. Whisk to mix. Let sit for about 10 minutes until foamy to test your yeast.
in stand mixer add flour, salt, yeast mixture, and oil. quickly mix until mostly combined and knead with dough hook for about 10 minutes on low/medium speed.
Cover dough with plastic wrap(i sprayed mine with non-stick oil) and let sit UNTIL AT LEAST DOUBLED IN SIZE preferably more. (note:will probably take longer than an hour, be patient, mine has taken 3 hours. but i have left the house for 5-6 hours running errands and it’s been perfect.)
flour counter and place dough on it. press or roll it to about 8”x8” square(width of loaf pan)
Roll your dough like a cinnamon bun, pinch seam together and fold the ends under so you will have nice ends. Place in bread pan.
Cover again and let rise until doubled in size, again be patient, I have let it sit for 2 or more hours.
heat oven to 375 degrees
Bake for 30-45 minutes until internal temperature is 200 degrees(quickly reaches 200 degrees)
Let cool completely before slicing
store on counter if you will eat within 3-4 days. Store in fridge if you will eat it in a longer time.
